Description
BIKE RIDE IN VENICE BEACH WITH TED MCGINLEY Go on a Venice Beach bike ride with "Married... with Children" star Ted McGinley! This auction is for a one-of-a kind experience for you and a guest to go bike riding in Venice Beach with Ted McGinley. Check out the unique sites of Venice beach while enjoying a scenic bike ride on Venice's beachside bike path. The experience will include lunch on the world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk. Bikes will be provided for the winner and guest (you can also bring your own if you want). The date of the experience will be mutually decided upon after the end of the auction. Venice Beach is one of the few beaches in the world where most of the action takes place away from the shore. There's more physical activity happening every few minutes in Venice Beach than in most health clubs in a week. The world famous Venice Boardwalk offers a one of a kind California beach experience. Visitors to the Boardwalk are welcomed into a beautiful beachside setting that is home to an eclectic mix of artists, performers, athletic activities, and shopping opportunities. In addition to the main Boardwalk, Venice Beach offers a path that is perfect for biking and rollerblading. Ted McGinley is best known for his role as Jefferson D'Arcy on the television series "Married... with Children," and as Charley Shanowski on the former ABC sitcom "Hope & Faith." He also appeared as Roger Phillips on the last 4 seasons of "Happy Days" and played Stanley Gable(the head of the jock-run Alpha Beta fraternity) in the motion picture "Revenge of the Nerds." He was most recently seen on television as a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars." All payments should be made in US Funds. Currently the accepted methods of payment are Paypal and cashiers check. If you are paying by cashiers check, please contact us at the end of the auction and let us know that's how you will be paying. After you contact us, we will give you further instructions on where to mail it. Cashiers checks should be made payable to "Let Them Play." We suggest sending your cashiers check via a traceable source such as FedEx, Airborne Express, DHL, UPS or USPS insured mail. However, the easiest and fastest way to pay is through Paypal. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. Please ask all questions before bidding. Serious bidders only. Thanks! About Let Them Play Let Them Play is committed to providing children who otherwise couldn't afford it with the opportunity to play organized sports. We feel organized sports are a very important part of a child's life. They offer children many physical, social and personal benefits. Fitness, stress relief, attitude control, leadership, long-term thinking, teamwork, diversity and resilience are just some of the benefits of youth organized sports. With technology rapidly growing, kids are spending an increasing amount of time on the internet and playing video games. Organized sports help keep kids away from online predators and violent video games. They are also a great way for children to make long lasting friendships. The children that cannot afford to play are not just from inner cities. This problem affects kids in cities of all economic classes. To raise funds, Let Them Play will be auctioning off a variety of items ranging from unique one-of-a-kind experiences, meet and greets and hard to get tickets and products. Proceeds from the auctions will be given to selected youth sports organizations from all over the country. FAQ I've won the auction! What happens next? What happens depends on what type of auction you win. Let Them Play has two different types of auctions: Experience Auctions (non-tangible auctions i.e. "Lunch with Paula Abdul") Item Auctions (tangible auctions i.e. "Basketball Autographed by Carmello Anthony") Experience auction winners will be assigned a Let Them Pay representative to facilitate the fulfillment of the experience. This representative will contact the winner via phone or email shortly after the auction ends. Item auction winners will receive an email from Let Them Play shortly after the auction ends with payment instructions. We will contact the winner via email again when the payment is confirmed and the item ships. Please see the individual auctions for details about shipping time, shipping cost and shipping services. I don't live in the United States, can I still bid on your auctions? Yes, most of our auctions will be open to international bidders. International buyers are responsible for the flat shipping cost stated in the listing plus an additional international shipping fees that apply including customs, VAT, duties, fees, tariffs etc., which may be assessed and due upon delivery of item. Let Them Play cannot pre-determine these fees and are not responsible for the additional costs. Is there sales tax? No sales tax is required in any of our auctions. Is my purchase tax-deductible? If your bid is for a tangible item with an estimated market value in the listing, typically the amount paid above the estimated value of the item is tax deductible. However, we recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding tax deductions.
